Monthly HPI Scotland Statistics Published

The Registers of Scotland has published the latest House Price Index showing the average price of a property in Scotland stands at £144,377 as of February 2018 (the latest date for which figures are available).
 

Whilst this figure is an increase of 6.2% against the average price shown in 2017, it’s a reduction of 2,7% when compared with the January 2018 figure.
 

In terms of the volume of sales in December, the comparisons against December 2016 and against November 2017 both showed reductions by 5.1% and 6.6% respectively to stand at 8,052 sales.
 

From a local perspective, the average price of a property in the Stirling local authority are for February 2018 stands at £174,076 which, whilst being above the national average, was a very slight reduction of 0.5% when compared to the figure in February 2017.
 

There’s good news about the number of sales, however, with the Stirling local authority area recording 150 sales for December 2017. This is a rise of 16.3% over the December 2016 figure.
